Description

The Super Hi-Net SHV-1000 is a Super Vertical that combines speed, rigidity and precision in a machine designed specifically for high-speed mold machining. This machine has features not found on competitive machines at any price. It features Schneeberger roller type linear ways on all axes with large diameter pre-tensioned ballscrews, and a state-of-the-art integral spindle for the very best finishes. The Y axis features 4 ways for unparalleled support and accuracy. The Z axis is a ram type head with no counterbalance for increased acceleration and smooth operation. Rapid rates are 944”/min in all axes. As in any high-quality machine tool, the SHV-1000 is made from heavy Meehanite FC-30 castings. Cast iron has the strength and vibration dampening characteristics necessary for excellent surface finishes and long cutting tool life. The accurate positioning is carried out by large diameter, pretensioned ballscrews (1.77”) and powerful servo motors. The servo motors are directly coupled to the ballscrews via rigid couplings.

Weiss integral spindles, made in Germany, are standard equipment. For medium roughing and even finer finishing, a 70mm diameter shaft 24,000 RPM HSK-63A spindle with 31HP and 53 ft/lbs of torque is standard. The spindle features ceramic bearings with Vogel air/oil mist lubrication for best life. For more cutting torque, a 70mm shaft 18,000 RPM HSK-63A spindle with 85 ft./lbs of torque @ 24000 RPM is also available.

An impressive list of standard features includes a heavy duty 24 tool arm type ATC that is mounted to the left side of the machine for easy maintenance, a chip removal system consisting of twin screw type rear discharge conveyors, a high-volume coolant system, and a full machine enclosure to contain chips and coolant. The machine was designed with the operator in mind. The ergonomics are outstanding. The Y axis servo motor is located in the back of the machine allowing the machine table to come very close to the front of the machine for easy reach by the operator. The Fanuc 31iMB with all new alpha I series servo motors and equipped with all high-speed machining function such as 600 block look ahead and data server with Ethernet connection is standard for high speed, high accuracy machining.
