Our U5-630 Compact series is a 5-axis Vertical Machining Center for high performance 5-axis simultaneous machining with spindle speeds up to 15,000 rpm. This machine has an integrated 2-axis trunnion table that revolves around the Y-axis which significantly reduces interference and allows the tool to reach the part without the need for longer tools. The machine offers 5-sided and full 5-axis simultaneous machining for high accuracy applications such as mold-making. An optional high-performance trunnion table utilizes a hydraulic counterweight and contains a 3.9 in (100 mm) bore in the table center to accommodate hydraulic or pneumatic feeds for fixture clamping. The traveling column design separates the machining environment from the axis drive and servo system so material such as plastic, graphite, etc. can be machined and contained without contaminating the machine. The U5-630 can handle heavy workpieces and can be configured with automation for production applications.
